Founded in 2024 and launched in 2025, RIOT IQ shifted my focus from decentralized finance to psychometrics: a rigorous online IQ test and professional testing platform built with intelligence researchers.
That same group launched SpiritSwap, one of Fantom’s earliest native decentralized exchanges, and grew it into a full DeFi platform for trading, farming, staking, and bridging. More than 60,000 people used the platform, and it reached a peak of roughly $374 million in TVL in January 2022. We loved building SpiritSwap and still wish we could have held on and continued, but we felt the lack of a clear U.S. regulatory framework for DeFi made it too uncertain and risky to stay. We transitioned control to the DAO and stepped away.
While learning about crypto, I built NFDoge with three good friends as an experiment. The collection generated $63.8K in total OpenSea trading volume, and that momentum pushed us to build SpiritSwap.
